All last night and the night before that it had stormed. It wasn't some little rain cloud that hung over her head, it had been gully washers. Now, walking down the slightly flooded back road, Annabelle would randomly come upon a walker try to swim toward her from the little river that formed in the grass. She wasn't sure she liked it, knowing she wouldn't be able to run if the time came for it.
Annabelle slung her bag over her stiffened shoulders. She hadn't eaten in days and it was starting to get hard to do much of anything, let alone think rationally. She only paused when she had to check her surroundings for any sneaky walkers, though they tended to make enough noise on their own. Just as the sun was beginning to set Annabelle came across a little hollow of a tree. It seemed as though someone had burned out the inside to make a cozy little home, but it seemed deserted. It definitely wouldn't hurt to stay for a night, maybe a couple. Glancing around to make sure nobody was there she put one of her thin blankets over the hole to conceal her within before crawling inside the hollowed out tree. It was just her size, and perfect for a little fire in the center if she opened a space up for the smoke. Maybe she could even boil some water or her canned beans she'd found at gas station. She could rest for a few days, what did she have to lose? Nothing. Not anymore.

Rick adjusted his bag on his shoulder as he tried to make his way through the woods. The group needed some supplies, so he was the first one out to get it. However, when he saw smoke, he got suspicious, he went toward it to find a small frammed girl in front of the fire. He went to pull his gun incase she did.

(lol. she's inside the tree, remember? It's hollowed out while standing up.)
Annabelle leaned her head against the tree, exhausted. Her head was spinning and at that moment she'd give anything for a bottle of Aspirin. She didn't hear anything as she was too concerned with her pounding headache and growling stomach, sharp pains running through her back signaling she was also dehydrated.
